Transformation

'Spirit can only be known by spirit.' -1 Corinthians 2:14 msg

God is not just about a transformation of mind.

He is about a transformation of spirit.

When we truly ask God to become a part of our lives, He puts the spirit of Jesus Christ inside of us- His spirit.

For these desires are no longer unobtainable to us- God, show us more of Your ways, help us to understand more of Your heart.

'Isaiah's question, "Is there anyone who knows God's spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?" has been answered. Christ knows, and we have Christ's spirit.' -1 Corinthians 2:16 msg

This transformation of spirit is not a one-time process, not something to which a person can one day say 'I have arrived!'. It is a constant process of change that comes from truly opening up your heart to be one with Him.

As our spirit changes, so do our thoughts and experiences. We become more in tune with God, and He is able to more and more speak to us and bring new revelation into our lives, through His word, through worship and prayer, and through the seemingly mundane everyday.

Connect in with God on an intimate level and your world will begin to open up.

After all, He doesn't want you to stay the same.

Some people can live their whole lives and not see any change. They find themselves back in the same place, struggling with the same thoughts and issues again and again.

The size of their world never changes. It remains confined to their own experiences, confined to 'self'.

I don't want to stay the same.

'Don't become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out.' Romans 12:2 msg

I want the size of my world to continue exploding. I want to see less from my own perspective and more from the perspective of the one who knows it all.

Hold nothing back

'Now boldly I approach Your throne, to claim this crown through Christ my own.

And nothing's gonna hold me back.'

God wants all of us.

Not just the parts of our lives we feel we can spare. Not just our Sunday mornings.

If we are going to truly live out this life with God at the centre, we need to do so with purpose. We have to hand over every part of our being.

Open up every area of your life to be changed by Him.

Hold nothing back.

Let's approach our faith with a new boldness. Let's have a new confidence, not with who we are under our own strength, but with who we are through God alone.

'For it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." ' -1 Peter 1:16

I don't want to be a Christian marked by apathy. I want to be a Christian marked by fire, marked by passion.

God never tells us that it will be easy. But He does tell us that it will be worth it.

Are you in or out?

It's all about the heart

'Show me Your heart. Show me Your ways. Show me Your glory.'

It all starts with the heart of God.

In everything that we do, in all our songs and in all our worship, let's chase after His heart.

When we go after the heart of God, He becomes the centre of our faith. Not rules and not religion.

God wants us to know Him on a deep and intimate level. It is not enough for us to just acknowledge His existence. He wants us to move into a personal relationship with Him, one which will transform every aspect of our being in a supernatural way.

The heart of God is love. And not just a love that is lukewarm. This love is real and tangible. This is a love that burns. Once you have experienced this love you will never be the same again.

'Put me like a seal on your heart, like a seal on your arm. Love is as strong as death; jealousy is as strong as the grave.' -Song of Solomon 8:6

God has given us the opportunity to connect directly with Him. All we have to do is be open.

God, we are here, our hearts are ready to be more like Yours. Transform us. Change us. Who we are on our own is not enough. We want to know the real You.

Go after the heart of God and everything else will fall into place.
